Frank contracted a sarcoma (cancer) on his face after serving in Panama in 1976-78.
This is Frank, post-surgery, in 2013.
Sarcomas (like Frank's) are presumed as service-connected under H.R. 2447.
This is the face of Agent Orange -- damage from a rare sarcoma of the face. Army veteran Frank was directly subjected to herbicides 2,4-D & 2,4,5-T while he was on duty as a junior officer MP in the Panama Canal Zone.
Frank could have received dentistry care and plastic surgery, had the VA treated him. Instead, the surgery and chemotherapy have left his skull and jaw too weak to support teeth. He is a warm, affable man.
Frank has been shunned by family, and people avoid him in group settings because he is disfigured. He is alone.
Please support H.R. 2447 today and give the Panama veterans a chance to finally get help for their injuries and improve their health and well-being.
